Engine overhaul — assembly order

1. Before starting assembly, check that all necessary spare parts, gaskets and seals, as well as the necessary tools, are present. The engine assembly must be carried out in the following order:

• Piston rings
• Crankshaft and main bearings
• Pistons and connecting rods
• Oil pump
• Rear oil seal housing
• oil sump
• Cylinder head, camshaft and rocker shafts
• Timing belt and sprockets
• timing belt cover
• intake and exhaust manifolds
• valve cover
• Engine rear plate
• Flywheel/Drive Disc
