9.2 To store the valve train components, use small plastic bags with an appropriate label so that you do not mix up the components during installation and install all the valves in their places.
2. Before removing the valves, prepare plastic bags to store them (9.2).
9.3 Using a spring compressor, compress the spring, then remove the crackers
3. Compress the spring of the first valve and remove crackers (9.3). Carefully release the spring and remove the plate, spring and spring seat.
9.4 If the valve cannot be removed, file the area around the groove on the valve stem with a file
4. Remove valve and gland. If the valve cannot be removed, chamfer around the groove on the valve stem (9.4).
5. Similarly remove other valves.
9.6 Unscrew the dilute mixture inlet valves using the Mitsubishi special tool MD998310 or a deep socket
6. If necessary, remove the dilute mixture inlet valves (9.6).
9.7 Compress the valve spring using tool N MD998309
7. To remove the valve, compress the valve spring with the special tool (MD998309) (9.7), remove crackers, plate and spring.
8. Remove seals from valve stem.
9. After removing the valves, clean and inspect the head.
