Removing
1. If the vehicle has an air conditioning system, discharge it by contacting specialists.
2. Cover the front fenders with old blankets.
3. Remove the hood.
4. Disconnect and remove the battery.
5. Remove the air filter. Remove the turbocharger inlet pipe, if necessary.
6. Drain the coolant and remove the radiator.
6.7 Mark all wires before disconnecting the connection connector
7: Tag and Disconnect All Hoses, Tubes, Wires and Cables (6.7).
8. Raise the engine and place it on stands.
9. Remove the air conditioning compressor, pump and reservoir of the power steering system.
10. Drain the transmission oil and fluid and remove the oil filter.
11. Disconnect a reception pipe from a final collector.
12. Disconnect half shafts from a transmission and close apertures in a transmission with rags.
6.13 Connect the hoist chain to the brackets on the engine with large bolts and washers
13. Connect the lift to the engine brackets (6.13).
14. Install a jack under the gearbox.
6.15 On some models it is necessary to remove the brake master cylinder and the gearbox mounting bracket (indicated by arrows) (1.5L engine shown)
15. Remove the brake master cylinder and gearbox bracket (6.15), if it is needed.
6.16 Remove the long through bolt from the gearbox mount
16. Remove the through bolt (6.16).
17. Check that all cables, hoses, wires and other items are disconnected from the engine.
6.18 Slowly raise the engine while lowering the gearbox
18. Carefully lift the engine and lower the gearbox (6.18).
19. Gently lift the engine and gearbox and remove them from the vehicle.
20. Remove the gearbox from the engine and remove the clutch and flywheel (or driven disk).
Installation
21. Check up fastenings of the engine and a transmission. Replace them if they are damaged.
22. Check clutch elements and lubricate input shaft splines with high temperature grease.
23. Install the gearbox on the engine, and securely tighten the mounting bolts.
24. Connect the lift to the engine and install it on the car.
25. Install the mounting bolts and tighten them securely.
26. Install all other elements and fasteners in the reverse order of removal.
27. Fill in coolant, oil, power steering fluid and gear oil.
