Removing
1. Raise and secure the vehicle on stands. Remove transmission. If it leaks, replace the front gasket.
2. Remove the clutch pressure plate. Check clutch parts.
15.3a Holes of flywheel bolts are not symmetrical (1.5l)
15.3b In engines with symmetrically located bolts, mark the installation position of the flywheel
3. Before removing the flywheel, mark its correct installation position (15.3a, 15.3b)
4. Unscrew the bolts securing the flywheel to the crankshaft, having previously locked the flywheel with a screwdriver.
5. Remove the flywheel.
6. Clean the flywheel of oil and grease. Inspect the surface for cracks, scratches and other damage. Check for any chipped or missing teeth.
7. Clean and check the mating surfaces of the flywheel and crankshaft. If the crankshaft rear oil seal is leaking, replace it.
Installation
8. Put the flywheel on the crankshaft, taking into account the correct location of the bolt holes. Lubricate threads with sealant before installing bolts.
9. Tighten the bolts to the correct torque.
10. Install the remaining parts.
