2. Remove the air filter.
3.3 Carefully disconnect the spark plug wires from the clips
3. Disconnect the spark plug wires and cable brackets from the valve cover (3.3).
Attention! On DOHC engines, remove the center cap to expose the spark plugs.
4. Tag and disconnect the exhaust cables and hoses that are connected to or over the valve cover.

3.5c DOHC engine valve cover, rocker arms and camshaft
1. Gas distribution belt; 2. Camshaft sprocket (intake valves); 3. Camshaft sprocket (exhaust valves); 4. Camshaft oil seal; 5. Camshaft bearing caps; 6. Camshaft bearing cap; 7. 5. Remove the valve cover bolts (3.5a, 3.5b, 3.5s) and remove the cover. If the cover is firmly attached to the cylinder head, gently tap it with a wooden mallet.
6. Thoroughly clean the cover, removing traces of the old gasket.
7. Install a new gasket on the cover. Put the cover on the cylinder head and insert the bolts.
Attention! Don't forget to install the semi-circular seal in the cylinder head (3.5a, 3.5b). Apply a small amount of sealant to the back of the seal, install the seal and apply sealant to the top of the seal.
8. Tighten the bolts to the tightening torque specified in the specifications. After you have completed the installation, start the engine and inspect it for leaks.
