- A) Check the tension and condition of the alternator drive belt, mounting bolts and connecting wires.
- b) Check fuse jumpers.
- V) Start the engine and check if the generator is making any unusual noise.
- G) Check electrolyte specific gravity and battery charge. Inspect the battery terminals and clean them for corrosion if necessary.
2. Check the operation of the generator and voltage regulator. With the engine off, the battery voltage should be 12 volts. With the engine running 14-15 volts.
