Ignition system without ignition distributor (DIS)
Primary winding (1989)
7.1 Identification of the terminals of the connector for connecting the primary winding of the ignition coil of 1989 models without an ignition distributor
1. Disconnect the connector for connecting the primary winding of the coil and measure the resistance between terminals N 4 and E (7.1) and terminals N 4 and 1.
Primary winding (1990)
7.2 Identification of the connector terminals for connecting the primary winding of the ignition coil of 1990 models without an ignition distributor
2. Disconnect the primary connection and measure the resistance between terminals N 3 and 2 (7.2) and terminals N 3 and 1.
Secondary winding
7.3 On the ignition coil of models without an ignition distributor, check the resistance of the secondary winding
1. For cylinders N7 and N4; 2. For cylinders N2 and N3
3. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the high voltage wire terminals of cylinders No. 1 and 4 (7.3) and cylinders No. 2 and 3.
All other models
4. Disconnect the negative battery terminal wire.
7.5 Checking the resistance of the primary winding of the coil
5. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the positive and negative terminals (7.5), as well as between the positive terminal and the terminal of the high voltage wire.
6. If the resistance is not as specified in the specifications section, replace the ignition coil.
Replacement
7. Disconnect the negative battery terminal wire.
8. Disconnect the wires from the coil and remove the coil from the mount.
9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
