Attention! Do not start this procedure until the engine has cooled down.
Replacement
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal wire.
2. Drain the coolant.
9.3 First remove the mounting bolts, then remove the drive belts.
3. Remove the left engine mount and unscrew the water pump mounting bolts (9.3).
4. Remove the drive belts and block located at the end of the water pump.
9.4 First unscrew bolt B, then loosen bolt A and disconnect the air conditioning belt. Now unscrew bolts A and C.
Attention! Disconnect the entire mounting assembly when removing the air conditioning belt (9.4).
5. Remove the toothed drive belt and tensioner.
6. Remove the alternator bracket from the water pump.
7. Turn off fixing bolts and remove the pump from the engine.
Installation
8. Clean threaded holes and threads of mounting bolts.
9. Check if the old and new water pumps are identical.
10. Remove traces of the old gasket and o-ring from the engine.
11. Clean mating surfaces of motor and pump with solvent or acetone.
12. Install a new O-ring in the groove and moisten the ring with coolant.
13. Apply a thin coat of sealant to the motor side seal and connect it to the water pump. Lightly tighten the mounting bolts and install the seal in place.
14. Carefully attach the pump to the motor, and lightly tighten the mounting bolts. Note that one bolt on the left side of the water pump is slightly longer than the others.

15. Install all remaining bolts and progressively tighten them to the correct torque.
16. Install all remaining parts.
17. Fill the cooling system and check the tension of the drive belts.
Start the engine and check the system for leaks.
