Attention! Wait until the engine has cooled down.
Removing
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal wire.
2. Drain the coolant.
3. Detach the clamps from the hoses, then disconnect the radiator hoses from the nozzles. If they look badly worn, they should be replaced.
4. Disconnect a hose from a jellied mouth of a radiator.
4.5 To disconnect the motor fan wire, press the tab (indicated by an arrow).
5. Disconnect the cooling fan connector (4.5).
6. If the car has an automatic transmission, disconnect the cooling system pipes from the radiator.
7. To prevent leakage of liquid, it is necessary to clog all nozzles.
8. Disconnect the air intake and air cleaner channel hose, if installed.
4.9 Remove the bolts securing the bracket and insulators to the radiator, (2.0 L Galant engine shown)
9. Unscrew the mounting bolts securing the radiator. (4.9)
10. Carefully remove the radiator.
11. Inspect the radiator for signs of leaks and damage. If they are found, the radiator should be replaced.
12. Clean the radiator of dirt and dead insects.
Installation
13. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
14. Fill in cooling liquid in the cooling system.
15. Start the engine and check the system for signs of leaks.
When the engine warms up to normal temperature, check the coolant level again.
16. If the vehicle has an automatic transmission, check the fluid level and add as needed.
