27.1a Tools required for changing spark plugs
1. Socket for changing spark plugs; 2. Torque wrench; 3. Ratchet wrench; 4. Extension cord; 5. Wire gauge
27.1b Use a wire gauge to check the spark gap
27.1c To measure the gap, carefully bend the outer electrode
1. To replace spark plugs, you will need a special socket with a rubber grommet to hold the spark plug in place, a ratchet wrench, and a wire gauge to measure the spark gap. When replacing spark plugs, adjust the spark gaps of the new spark plugs and replace the spark plugs one by one (27.1a, 27.1b and 27.1c).
Removing
27.2 When disconnecting high voltage wires, grasp the cap, not the wires
2. Grasp the wire connection cap, turn it and remove it from the spark plug (27.2).
3. Clean the area around the spark plug with compressed air.
27.4 Using a box wrench with a special socket and extension, unscrew the spark plug
4. Remove spark plug (27.4).
5. Inspect the spark plug and compare it with the spark plugs in the photographs.
Installation
27.6 When installing spark plugs, use a tube with a diameter of 5 mm in order not to damage the threads
6. To facilitate the installation of the candle, put on it a piece of tube with a diameter of 5 mm, which will serve as a universal joint when twisting the candle (27.6).
7. Connect wire to spark plug.
8. Replace the remaining candles in the same way.
