Removing
1. Raise the car and remove the wheel.
12.2 Remove the lower shock absorber mounting bolt and nut (arrow)
2. Place a jack under the suspension spring and compress it slightly. Loosen the lower shock absorber mounting bolt (12.2).
12.3a Once the spring is free, it can be removed
12.3b Mounting bolts of the rear suspension shock absorber (indicated by arrows) located near the trunk wall
3. On models with separate shock absorbers and springs, gradually lower the jack and remove the spring (12.3a). On models with springs mounted on shock absorbers, unscrew the upper mounting bolts in the trunk of the car (12.3b) and remove the suspension strut. Remove the spring from the shock absorber.
Installation
4. Before installing the spring, inspect the top seat for cracks and wear. Replace it if necessary.
5. Inspect the rubber damper on the suspension arm for cracks or wear and replace if necessary.
6. Inspect the spring for cracks, corrosion, or deformation. Replace it if necessary.
12.7 The upper end of the spring must be installed in the upper seat as follows
7. On models with separate springs and dampers, install the spring into the saddle on the suspension arm. Install top seat (12.7). On models with suspension struts, install the spring on the shock absorber.
8. On models with split dampers and springs, compress the spring with a jack and tighten the mounting bolts securely. On models with coil springs installed around the shock absorbers, install and tighten the upper mounting bolts located in the trunk of the vehicle, and then install and tighten the lower mounting bolt and nut.
9. Install the wheel and lower the vehicle to the ground.
