17.2b Make installation rewinds on the intermediate shaft and steering column shaft, as well as on the lower end of the intermediate shaft and the input shaft of the steering mechanism (Precis model shown)
2. Make alignment marks on the universal joint, steering column shaft, lower universal joint and steering gear input shaft (17.2a and 17.2b).
3. Loosen the pinch bolts of the upper and lower universal joint clamps.
17.4 The dust cover is attached to the bulkhead with three bolts (Precis model shown)
4. Loosen the dust cover bolts (17.4) and take it off.
5. Disconnect the intermediate shaft from the steering shaft. Disconnect the intermediate shaft from the steering column shaft and remove it from the vehicle.
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Align the alignment marks and tighten the tie bolts to the correct torque.
