5.2 Hang the caliper on a piece of wire
2. Remove the brake caliper, pads and caliper bracket (5.2).
Inspection
3. Inspect the disc surface for scratches or damage. If the scratches are deeper than 0.38 mm, the disc must be replaced.
5.4a Check disc runout with a dial gauge
5.4b In a circular motion, sand the surface of the disc
4. Check disc runout with a dial gauge (5.4a and 5.4b).
5.5a The minimum allowable thickness of the brake disc is indicated on the inside of the disc
5. The minimum allowable disc thickness is indicated on the disc. Disc thickness can be checked with a micrometer (5.5a and 5.5b).

Removal and installation
6. On some models, the brake disc can be removed from the hub after removing the caliper and caliper bracket.
7. Remove the stub axle and hub from the vehicle.
8. To remove the hub and brake disc from the stub axle, contact a specialist.
9. Install the stub axle and hub.
10. Install the caliper, caliper bracket and brake pads. Tighten the caliper bolts or pins to the correct torque.
11. Install the wheel and lower the vehicle to the ground.
