2. Remove the center console.
13.3a On some models, the handbrake cable adjusting nuts are located under the center console - when adjusting the cables, turn both adjusting nuts (indicated by arrows) for the same number of turns (Precis model shown)
3. Tighten the adjusting nuts on the balancer just enough to get the required handbrake lever travel (13.3a, 13.3b).
13.3b On other models, the handbrake cables are adjusted using one nut.
13.4a On some models, to adjust the handbrake signal light switch, unscrew the fixing screw (indicated by an arrow) and move the switch as needed (Precis model shown)

4. If necessary, adjust the handbrake warning light switch. To do this, unscrew the fixing screw of the switch and move the switch up and down as necessary, or bend the tab (13.4a, 13.4b). After adjusting the switch position, tighten the fixing screw securely.
5. Raise the rear of the vehicle and spin the wheels, making sure the brakes do not interfere with their rotation.
